President Molloy and the executive board have established CalChiefs’ ninth section, the CalChiefs Logistics Section. California’s fire service is operating in an era where logistics can make or break operational readiness. From apparatus design and purchasing to station construction and remodels to PPE procurement, cleaning, and maintenance, logistics now determine whether our crews arrive equipped, protected, and ready to perform. The new CalChiefs Logistics Section consolidates these critical functions under one statewide umbrella, providing agencies with a professional network to share best practices, avoid costly missteps, enhance buying power, and align logistical decisions with today’s operational realities. If your agency is grappling with escalating equipment costs, supply chain delays, NFPA compliance pressures, or facility modernization challenges, this section is designed for you.
