The California Training Officers’ Section of the California Fire Chiefs Association is proud to present our 2026 California Training Officer Symposium, marking the 29th annual gathering of California’s fire service training community. Now well-established in its Spring Symposium format, this schedule continues to reflect our commitment to providing consistent, high-quality training during a time of year that allows for more reliable planning, milder weather conditions, and extended daylight—ideal for maximizing hands-on instruction.

This year, we are pleased to welcome back many of our most respected instructors and subject-matter experts, along with an exciting lineup of new courses designed to meet the evolving needs of our profession. Whether you are a newly hired firefighter building foundational skills, an Engineer pursuing advancement, a Company Officer preparing for future leadership roles, or a Chief Officer seeking valuable networking opportunities, product innovations, and legislative updates—there is truly something here for everyone.

Symposium sessions will once again be hosted in Fresno, California, at the newly renovated DoubleTree by Hilton Fresno Convention Center, with additional hands-on and specialized training held at select off-site locations throughout Fresno County.
