The Northern California Fire Chiefs Mechanics Association Section Update

The Northern California Fire Chiefs Mechanics Association Section met in Fairfield on June 22 and reported on the following items:

• 121 active members, 19 vendor members, and 29 lifetime members in the Mechanics Section.
  
• 58 people attended this meeting. Consisted of roughly 2/3 membership and the rest vendors. It was followed by an all-day CE training on electrical systems. 
  
• The recent annual 2023 NCFMA academy in Sacramento was a big success and well attended by the membership and vendors. This was the biggest academy since pre covid. 
  
• A full training roster is in place each month through February of next year. 
  
• Several CHP and NFPA regulatory reminders and challenges were discussed.
