California Fire Chiefs Association Hall of Fame

The California Fire Chiefs Association Hall of Fame (HOF) is designed to honor a Fire Chiefs lifetime achievement that have served the California Fire Service and contributing to its improvement. The annual award ceremony will be part of the CFCA annual conference where each year a class of inductees would be honored.  CFCA would automatically bring into the HOF that years past president who have completed their full term, and all the Fire Chief of the Year recipients. CFCA will seek from its partner organizations, Fire Districts Association of California, Cal Cities Fire Chiefs Department, CFCA Metro Fire Chiefs, CFCA Tribal Fire Chief Branch and CFCA Volunteer and Combo Fire Chief Branch nominations for each class.  All inductees shall be members of the California Fire Chiefs Association and members in good standing. Each year additional Fire Chiefs will be admitted and become that year’s class.

The Class of 2023 includes recipients that date back to 1919 and totals 82 Chiefs.  Each recipient will be allotted a 200-word biography, with name, photo and year admitted on the CFCA website as well as receiving a lapel pin and plaque.  Nominations to the Hall of Fame will come from the Board of Directors of CFCA and the partner organizations.  Final selection will be conducted by the Presidents Committee of CFCA and the current President of FDAC. Recipients may only be inducted to the HOF once.
